We wanted to personally explain the judges and why we have changes , so there will be no confusion, the May judge , Larry Gimple had to cancel due to his hospitalization ,he was a USEF mainland guest judge .At such a late date it was not possible to hire another mainland judge, so Wayne Shizuru was asked to replace Larry since Wayne was the July judge .The USEF guest card was transferred to Wayne by the USEF. The June judge is a USEF mainland judge Barbara Burks . The July judge slot will be filled by Lisa Parker from the big Island, she has been a judge and a competitor for many years and is well respected throughout the Hawaii horse community , the July show is considered a local non USEF show , so for this show there will be no USEF drug and medication fee . The last show in September will be judged by Patti Felker-Breiner she is a USEF mainland judge and it is a USEF local show and the drug and medication fee will be back on the entry form again. And lastly all four shows will count toward year end awards. Our intent was to have 3 mainland judges for this year but due to circumstances beyond our control, it is not possible , We are delighted with the first shows turnout , it was above our expectations, and hopefully word will spread and we will have even more competitors for the next shows , hope this clears up any questions , hope to see you at the June show!
